Residency at Baer Art Center

In June 2022, I spent two lovely weeks in Hofsós, Iceland at the Baer Artist Residency with a group of international artists. It was an ideal location and facility, and Iceland has a magnetic pull on all that visit it. I can’t wait to return.

Introducing MACROs of the Month

Each month in 2022 I’ll be featuring two MACRO prints in a special half-off sale. These one-of-a-kind digital prints will only be available at this price during their featured month. Each print measures 20″ x 20″ and is made by scanning and enlarging mixed media works made with encaustic paint and embroidery thread.

Honored to be featured as part of Jason McCoy Gallery’s Drawing Challenge XXII, which was inspired by Joan Didion’s quote “Time passes, memory adjusts, memory conforms to what we think we remember.” Painting is LOOKING AT STONES (2017), encaustic on wood panel.

FINDING THE OTHER HALF (2018) is a featured work in the Art in Embassies exhibition OUAGADOUGOU 2021 in Burkina Faso.

AN OPEN BOOK

AN OPEN BOOK is an interactive visual art exhibition that draws on Barbara Ellmann’s artistic practice as well as her experience in aesthetic education to examine the mutual influences of teaching and doing.

The exhibition has toured to two locations, and provides an opportunity for fruitful partnership and collaboration among exhibition spaces and education programs.
