I create 24″ x 24″ encaustic paintings that are meant to be displayed in grids of two or more. Grid installations are site-specific and unfixed, allowing for the re-experience and re-evaluation of information in an endless number of configurations.
WORKS ON PAPER
ABSTRACT SEWN DRAWINGS
WAX PAPER THREAD is a series of sewn drawings on encaustic monoprints that are studies in materiality, abstraction, and process.
This GAME BOARD series was begun in 2001. The drawings are created on kitakata paper using pencil, marker, beeswax, and silver leaf. The imagery is inspired by Parcheesi, the oldest known board game. Like my paintings, I display these drawings in grids of varying dimensions.
This series of PARCHEESI prints was also inspired by the Parcheesi game board schema.
